The starting point.
Goldstar is a Portuguese manufacturer of shower enclosures with an extensive catalogue. Glass variations, aluminium profiles, handles, screen printing, accessories. The PDF catalogue was over 50 pages long, with models at the beginning and all customization options at the end. The client saw the base product and had to imagine the result. Visual confirmation only happened after installation.
What it needed to solve.
- A static catalogue where the client couldn't visualize the configured product, and compatibility between options depended on manual validation.
- Operational information scattered across emails, folders, and cloud storage, with no centralization and no client access to order status.
Three decisions that shaped the project.
01
3D configurator with integrated compatibility rules
The PDF catalogue was complemented by a visual 3D configurator. The user selects the model, configures all options, and sees the product update in real time. The aluminium profiles were modelled in CAD to the millimetre and the system only allows valid combinations, eliminating errors before the order.
02
Quotes fully online, from simulator to request
After configuring the model in the simulator, the client requests a quote with one click. All selections and measurements arrive pre-filled in the form, with full context. A request made from home, after seeing the product and every customization in 3D.

03
Central order management platform
All orders, proposals, and shipments live in a single dashboard. Each order has its own space with files, documents, and complete history. The client follows the status in real time, with no phone calls.

What shipped.
Goldstar's sales process is no longer only manual, it is now complemented by a robust digital system. The static catalogue gained a configurator where the client sees what they're buying. Remote quoting now happens with one click from the simulator. Order management lives in a single system, with a complete digital archive and real-time tracking.
The relationship with Goldstar continues. Since 2025, we maintain the system, make regular updates, and improve the experience continuously. The institutional website, at mfn.pt, bridges the brand and the configurator, bringing three different developments together on the same platform.
